Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of skilled workers, subcontractors, and vendors involved in the renovation process.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with tradespeople, suppliers, and vendors, negotiating contracts and managing their performance.
- Collaborate with the design and planning team to ensure project specifications are met and that renovations align with market trends and buyer preferences.
- Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders and adjusting plans as needed.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or delays, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plans and quality standards are met.
- Monitor expenses and project costs, implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all team members and contractors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing successful renovation projects.
- Must hold a General Contractor (GC) license or Certified Residential Contractor (CRC) license.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and renovation practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to recruit, retain, and motivate a diverse team of workers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different trades and roles.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate unexpected challenges and changes in project scope.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools is a plus.
